High school teachers can schedule a classroom presentation with Mackay faculty and current students. They give an informative PowerPoint presentation explaining the majors and the careers for which students can be prepared. This reinforces the value of studying math and science and enables students to learn about ways to apply math and science.

Likewise, high school teachers can also schedule field trips to campus for their classes. They can tailor-make the tour to fit their curriculum.

National Engineer's Day at UNR provides another opportunity for interested high school students to see the labs on campus. The date is always in February, the Tuesday after the President's Day holiday.
