In addition to focusing on University Core Curriculum and major requirements, advisement can also be the beginning of an important professional mentoring relationship, assisting students in learning more about their chosen career field. It is the responsibility of the students to contact their advisor. See the appropriate department button to your left for advisor contact information. Students have access to the Degree Audit Reporting System Report (DARS) via the web. This report confirms students' progress toward graduation in their declared major. It is recommended that students bring a copy of this report to advisement appointments in order to make sure that they are on track toward graduation. For an overview of the recommended courses and schedule see the University of Nevada, Reno General Catalog. Some pre-advisement, academic and personal counseling, and referral to campus services are available through the Coordinators of Student Services.
