Animal care and use - A Protocol for Animal Care and Use must be submitted for review by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) before any experimentation or teaching exercise can be initiated with animal models, regardless of the location where the study may be occurring (on- or off-campus). A web based process for submission of aminal care and use protocols is in development and will be available in the near future. Faculty members in Las Vegas have the option of submitting Protocols to the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) IACUC for approval.
Grant Transmittal - A Grant Transmittal Sheet must be submitted to the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration (OSPA) with any grant application requiring institutional authorization. This sheet can be downloaded from the OSPA W
eb Pages. This sheet must first be signed by the investigators Department Chair and then the Senior Associate Dean for Basic Science and Research of the School of Medicine before submission to OSPA.
Office of Sponsored Projects Administration - A Protocol for Human Experimentation must be submitted for review by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) before any experimentation or teaching exercise can be initiated, regardless of the location where the study may be occurring (on- or off-campus). Sample forms can be downloaded from the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration Web Pages. Reno School of Medicine faculty should submit their protocols to the University of Nevada, Reno, while Las Vegas faculty may submit their protocols for review to either UMC's or UNR's IRB Committee for consideration.
