Research Topic: Testing the Conductivity of Liposomes Through Dielectrophoresis (DEP) Using a Microfluidics Device and Fluorescein

Abstract: In this project, we plan to test the conductivity of liposomes using a microfluidic device and fluorescein. These liposomes will be used for testing the commonly used single-shell analytical model for dielectrophoresis (DEP), by serving as an ideal physical model of this analytical model. The liposomes will be hydrated in low conductivity media and then put into high conductivity media to test the upper and lower cross over frequencies of the liposomes. Our ultimate goal is to verify this analytical model.
