Summer Summer Summer!!!                                                 (5/15/12)
  • Summer session is nearly here and summer classes go FAST!
    So take advantage of our free tutoring throughout the summer.  
    Our hours are: Monday - Friday: 10am -3pm    .  


Easter Sunday -OPEN                                                            (4/2/12)
  • The Math Center will be OPEN Easter Sunday 4/8/12 for our normal Sunday hours 1-6pm.  Take advantage of this time; finals are right around the corner!!  
Spring Break Closure                                                             (3/12/12)
  • The Math Center will be closed for Spring Break.  From Saturday, March 17th, until  Saturday, March 24th.   
  • We will reopen Sunday at 1pm, March 25th.

Accuplacer                                                                               (3/1/12)
  • Accuplacer testing resumes Thursday, March 1st.
     
  • Please make sure that you print the Accuplacer form and pay for the test at the Cashier's Office BEFORE arriving at the Math Center.  

    Students need to arrive 90 minutes before the lab closes and testing is not allowed on Sundays.  


Coffee and Hot Cocoa                                                           (2/14/12)
  • During the next few weeks be on the lookout for our table on Hilliard Plaza (next the Business Building).  We will be handing out free hot coffee and hot cocoa on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  It's just our way of showing our appreciation for all of the students who visited us last semester.      
  • Don't forget we are open Sundays 1-6pm.  



Spring 2012                                                                             (1/30/12)
  • Start the new year off right and stay on top of your math classes.  We are back to our regular hours.  Monday - Friday 8am -5pm and starting February 5th we will have our Sunday hours 1pm -6pm.  
  • If you need to take an Accuplacer test for Spring 2012 you have until  Wednesday, February 1st at 12pm.   
Wintermester Without Snow?!                                          (1/9/12)
  • Wintermester is here and those math classes go by FAST!  Stay on top of the material by visiting the Math Center.  We are open from 10am - 3pm; Monday - Friday.  
If you need to take an Accuplacer test please arrive before 1:30pm.  




 

 Six Thousand Visits!                  (12/27/11)
  • The Math Center has had over 6,000 student visits this semester (a 35% increase from last year).   We have lucked out and have managed to hire the best students on campus.  Our tutors are amazing and have done an excellent job keeping up with the huge increase in traffic.  (Our TAs and admin are pretty awesome too!)
This is a great way to end the fall semester and we look forward to seeing everyone in the spring!  
 FINALS!!                                                                                (12/12/11)
  • The Math Center will be open for tutoring until Wednesday, December 21st to help you with finals.  So come in and get that last minute help you need for your exams.  Remember we are also open Sundays 1pm - 6pm.

SUNDAYS ARE BACK!                                             (9/15/11)

That's right, SUNDAYS. 
  • Starting Sunday, September 25th the Math Center will be open Sundays 1pm -6pm.  We know how it works, Sunday afternoon is when you do homework and have time to study  --so that's when we're open.  
Welcome Back!!                                                                     (8/20/11)
  • THE FALL SEMESTER IS HERE!
We are open 8am - 5pm, Monday -Friday. All UNR students are welcome to visit the Math Center for math and stat help.  You don't need an appointment; just bring your student ID and drop by any time.  We have 20 computer stations with lots of software to help you with online homework.  Be proactive this semester  -get help as soon as you need it.





Accuplacer Deadline                                                             (8/15/11)
  • THE LAST DATE TO TAKE ACCUPLACER FOR FALL 2011 IS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH AT 2PM.    This is the last date of late registration.   While students are able to take Accupalcer until this date, we highly encourage them to finalize their placement before classes begin.

Summer is Just Around the Corner                                    (4/15/11)
  • Summer break is almost here!   The Math Center will be open for tutoring and Accuplacer testing from May 23rd - August 19th, 10 am - 3pm.  See our Hours of Operation for more information.  
SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!!                                             (3/15/11)
  • From now, until the end of the semester, the Math Center will be open on Sundays from 1pm - 6pm!  So as the work is piling up at the end of the semester  we will be open when you need us most.  
Spring Semester is Here                                                                                         (1/20/11)
  • Starting January 18th we will return to our normal hours: 8am -5pm. Come check out our redesigned lab.  We now have more tables, more white boards and more space to accommodate students.    





The MATH CENTER is once again back in full operation! (8/15/10)
  • This means that students from all UNR classes are welcome to use the Center's services for math and stat help.
