Undergraduate Minor

Undergraduate Minors in Mathematics and in Statistics

For the undergraduate minor in mathematics, one needs to successfully complete Math 181, 182, and 283, plus three more math/stat courses numbered 300 or higher. [Note that Math 285 does NOT count for the math minor!]

For the undergraduate minor in statistics, one needs to successfully complete Math 181, 182, 283, and 352, plus Stat 452. In addition, students must complete one more math/stat course numbered 300 or higher related to statistics. A partial list of such courses includes Math 320, 330, 420, 461, 466, 467, 485, 486, and 487.

Note: Students are not permitted to obtain both a minor in math and a minor in statistics.

Please note that in order for your Math or Stat minor to appear in your DARS
you must fill out a Declaration of Minor form.
