Bachelor of Science in Mathematics

Mathematics teaches you to think logically and approach problems in analytical and creative ways. Mathematicians apply their problem-solving skills to a wide variety of fields, including: banking & finance, environmental modeling, information security & engineering.

  • Math 285 -- Differential Equations (3)
  • Math 310 -- Analysis I (3)
  • Math 311 -- Analysis II (3)
  • Math 330 -- Linear Algebra I (3)
  • Math 331 -- Groups Rings Fields (3)
  • Math 440 -- Topology (3)
  • Math 461 -- Probability Theory (3)
  • CS 135 -- Computer Science I (3)
  • CS 202 -- Computer Science II (3)
  • Additional elective courses with MATH or STAT prefix (15)

III. Additional Electives (7-15 credits)

IV. Minor Requirements (18-21 credits) The Mathematics and Statistics department accepts any minor from any other University department.

V. Total Credits (120 Credits)
Forty or more credits must be in courses numbered 300 or above.
