Education: A.B. Princeton University, 1970; Ph.D., University of California, Berkeley, 1975.
I have been on the faculty at UNR since 1975, full professor since 1983.
My research is in the field of Operator Algebras, a branch of Functional Analysis which is also closely connected with Topology. I am the author of one book and about 30 research papers. I was named UNR's Outstanding Researcher in 1986.
I have held visiting professorships in Germany, France, Denmark, Australia, and Canada.
