Careers & Internships

For those who may want to pursue non-academic employment in industry, engineering, and the sciences, we have an applied option for both our B.S. and M.S. degrees. Whether or not the career directly applies the knowledge gained in the curriculum, the experience in problem solving, logical thinking, and managing complex tasks will enhance the student's abilities in any work setting. There is a wealth of career information available at the following sites:

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

The site features information for students interested in identifying
summer research opportunities.

Paid fellowships

Paid fellowships to conduct research with faculty mentors are available
in summer 2003 to select undergraduate students.  The fellowships are
competitive.  Application information may be found at the websites
below. All applications should be submitted electronically per the
instructions at the website to Alice Ward, UCCSN Research
Administrator.  A review panel will make the final selection.
