Title: Converting Analogue Video to
Digital Video
Purpose: In order to take full advantage of all the benefits digital video
editing has to offer, the original video must be converted into a format that
is usable by your computer. The
Learning Resource Center, located on the first floor of the College of
Education, has state of the art equipment that will allow you to convert, edit,
and produce digital video. In this
tutorial, you will learn how to convert analogue video (usually on a VHS tape)
to digital video. Once you have
completed this process, you are ready to begin using programs live Final Cut
Pro or I-Movie to edit your video and add special effects.
**All video transferring devices used in this tutorial are
available in the Transfer Center located in the Graphics room of the Learning
Resource Center in the College of Education at UNR.
