 Project
Learning Links, a project funded under the federal PT3 initiative,
hosted its second annual Technology Symposium in November,
2002. The Symposium brought together university teacher educators,
practicing teachers adept at using technology (master teachers),
community organizations, educational technology vendors,
and district policy makers. The purpose of the symposium
was to share what is being done to infuse technology into
K-12 and pre-service teacher education.

The
two day symposium was held on November 1st & 2nd,
2002, in the University of Nevada, Reno College of
Education. It included paper presentations and a number
of small group “break-out” sessions in
which university faculty, master teachers, and educational
technology professionals presented how they infuse
technology into teaching and learning.

The
symposium was a tremendous success. Over the two day
symposium, thirty-three presentations were made. Attendance
numbers for the conference doubled from last year;
drawing a total of 102 registrants. Feed back from
conference attendees was very positive. On a likert
scale of 1-5, the average breakout session received
a rating of 4.5. Click here to
