Serving Individuals With
Disabilities and Their Families

Course Description:
Facilitating the interrelationship of varied services for students with disabilities. Focus includes working with parents, professionals, and community services.

Improvements to the Course:
The major goal for infusing technology for this is to develop a course website. Included on the website would be:
(a) Online syllabus, with electronic links to supplementary readings

(b) Online discussion groups to facilitate students working together on the group Role Play Project

(c) Resource Sharing, to assist students in accumulating local resources for families of individuals with disabilities. I would request a digital camera to assist the class in developing various brochures from this assignment.

(d) Incorporation of existing PowerPoint lectures for access through the class website In addition, I would request technical support for students to develop PowerPoint Presentations for the Family of Origin Project.
