Research Interests
Sociology of the law and deviance. Specific areas included
under those categories include symbolic law and law making processes,
specialized courts, therapeutic justice, alternative sentencing, the
medicalization of deviance, and the use of scientific evidence in court
– the research goal being to look at the effects of such on perceptions
of justice, social change, and individual behavior.
