Graduate School

Prospective Students

The Graduate School provides students with the opportunity to enrich not only their lives but also their communities through the pursuit of knowledge. Even at a large research institution such as Nevada, graduate students enjoy educational opportunities typically associated with private rather than public education. Nevada provides intimate classroom settings that enable students to actively participate in discussions, from meaningful relationships and receive personalized attention from instructors.

Nevada also has one of the most affordable graduate programs in the nation. The cost per credit is low, students can establish state residency within one year, and Reno is much less expensive than major metropolitan areas. Students who receive widely available assistantships qualify for Nevada residency immediately, along with other benefits. Flexible programs in our Master’s of Business Administration and educational programs mean students can work while studying.

After selecting a Program of Study and learning more about the caliber of our faculty, begin by reviewing the application for graduate admission. To complete your application, you’ll need to create an account online. To apply for a paid assistantship or learn more about funded research positions, contact the department directly.
