Society of Professional Journalists
President Melissa Navas
Vice President Yun Long

The Society of Professional Journalists is dedicated to improving journalism and helping aspiring student journalists into the professional world.
SPJ is an organization that teaches ethics and standards in journalism while creating a network of professional contacts at meetings, job fairs and conferences locally and nationally.
The University of Nevada, Reno SPJ chapter hosts two service projects each year—the SPJ Internship Fair and the Nevada High School Journalism Day.
Why should you join SPJ? You have an opportunity to build your resume, make valuable professional contacts and be a part of a club you will never forget.
