Parade of letters from JTSU to Joe Crowley Student Union
The symbolic transfer of the letters that have marked the Jot Travis Building as the “Student Union” start the festivities of the day.  Watch the parade of students carrying the building letters led by a drum corps, cheerleaders, and of course Alphie as they approach to begin the opening ceremonies.

Welcome ceremony featuring special guest Joe Crowley
Speakers include University President Milt Glick, GSA President Rebecca Bevans and ASUN President Sarah Ragsdale.

Open house
After the unveiling of the building, join Sol Jibe for great music and enjoy some free food and cake as you explore your new student union.  Sign up for prizes, shop at the expanded ASUN Bookstore, stop by and learn about the new food options, and sneak a peak at the new 220-seat digital surround sound theater.

5 - 7pm

GSA Wine and Cheese Social
Graduate Students are invited to the first Graduate Student Association’s Wine and Cheese Social in the Great Room on the 4th floor.  Entry only with graduate student ID.

Family Movie: Ratatouille
Bring the family to the first movie hosted in the new Joe Crowley Student Union digital surround sound movie theater.  Limited number of tickets available from the Joe Crowley Student Union Box Office beginning at 8am on Tuesday, November 6th.  Sponsored by Flipside and the Joe Crowley Student Union.

Before the Nevada vs. Hawaii football game (televised on ESPN), stop by and discover what the new Joe Crowley Student Union has to offer.  There will be free food samples, self-paced tours with posted tour guides, give-aways, and entertainment.

Football: Nevada vs. Hawai’i Kick-off
After shopping at the ASUN Bookstore, show off your new gear and team spirit at the Nevada vs. Hawai’i, televised on ESPN.

ASUN Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for ASUN President’s Room 332
The Associated Students of the University of Nevada (ASUN) welcome back past officers to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the ASUN President’s Room.

10pm - 2am

Howl at the Moon
The new Joe Crowley Student Union comes alive with Howl at the Moon.  Student clubs bring a wide variety of activities from a scavenger hunt to movies to a concert in the Ballroom.  Come by and celebrate the weekend with Flipside and the Joe Crowley Student Union.
