Clearing the Cache: Firefox

There are some minor differences in the method of clearing the Firefox cache between Mac and Windows.

  1. Mac

    Click on Tools -> Clear Recent History... (or press Command, Shift, and Delete at the same time on your keyboard) to bring up the dialog box for deleting temporary internet files.

    Windows

    Click on the orange Firefox button, hover your mouse over History and select Clear Recent History... from the menu that appears (or press Ctrl, Shift, and Delete at the same time on your keyboard) to bring up the dialog box for deleting temporary internet files.

  2. Make sure the Time Range is set to Everything and Browsing & Download History, Cookies, Cache, Active Logins and Site Preferences are checked.
  3. Click on Clear Now.
  4. Restart Firefox and try the website you were having trouble with again to see if the problem is resolved.
