Contact IT Support to gain the permissions needed to access a particular network printer.
For security reasons, a user is unable to request their own permissions. Instead, we advise that their supervisor or departmental admin assistant contacts us with the folllowing information:
- Who needs access (names and NetIDs)?
- The network name of the printer. This can usually be found in the list of available printers on the computer of someone who is already able to print.
- The details of the person that should be contacted once permissions have been granted.
It rarely takes very long for the permissions to be assigned. Once you have been notified, you should restart your computer for the permissions to take effect.
