Network Printers

Network printers, specifically those controlled by the University's Print Server, allow a group of people to print to the same device within a department. They can be locked down so that only a defined group can print to them.

Printers on the Print server have a network name that follows a naming convention:

[building abbreviation]_[Make and Model of Printer]-[Department/ Location]

For example kc_hplj1000-it would be an HP Laserjet 1000, in the Knowledge Center, for the IT department to use.

Generally, each department is responsible for replacing the toner and paper on these devices. The IT department has printer techncians that can assist with any technical support that you require.
