At the main login screen, enter your username as usual and press Tab on your keyboard to move the cursor down to the password field.
Enter your old password, or enter the temporary password generated by the technician on the phone. For each character of the password you enter, the cursor will move over one space. There are no other visible signs that you are entering any information.
A message at the top of the screen will inform you that your password has expired, and the cursor will move to the New Password section.
Enter in a new password. Your new password can not be any of your previous 7 passwords, and must be between 5 and 8 characters long. Ideally, it should contain an UPPER case letter, a lower case letter, and a number. The RACF password can not contain any non-alphanumeric characters (e.g. !@#$%). Again, the cursor will move along one space for each character that you enter.
The message at the top of the screen will now ask you to confirm your password.
Enter the new password again (the cursor will automatically reset to the beginning of the New Password section) and press Enter. As long as the system is happy with the new password, it will log you in. Otherwise, the message at the top of the screen will inform you of why the password couldn't be changed.
