Proteomics Data Analysis Workshop

This hands-on workshop covers how to process and analyze proteomics data sets to identify proteins with improved detection and confidence using MASCOT, X!Tandem, and Scaffold software packages. In the 2-D gel lab of the Nevada Proteomics Center, the PDQuest software by Bio-Rad is used to identify gel spots, quantify them, compare spots between gels and run statistical analyses on these comparisons. This excellent software is fairly user friendly and, with training, can be used by the customers of the 2-D gel lab.
