Core Users - We need your pub citations!
The Imaging Core receives financial support from the Nevada INBRE, a program sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). NIH requires all facilities receiving INBRE support to deliver an annual progress report that includes a list of publications and presentations that include data generated from INBRE supported cores.
If you have publications, posters or presentations that include data generated from the Imaging Core, please send a complete citation by March 10 to Heather Goulding to include in our report. Thank you!
The central piece of equipment in this multi-user facility at UNLV is a state-of-the-art Zeiss LSM-510 confocal laser scanning microscopy system (CLSM) mounted on either upright or inverted Zeiss microscope bodies. A second high-resolution digital imaging system is used for epifluorescence and other types of light microscopy. The core operates both as a shared instrument facility and re-charge center.
Users receive training from our technician and must demonstrate proficiency with the CLSM before receiving access to the facility (passwords, computer accounts, magnetic card keys).
A web-based reservation program is used to schedule time in the Imaging Core. Registered users are charged either $25/hr or a flat rate for each laboratory of $1000/yr.
Investigators using INBRE facilities, services or resources are required to cite NIH Grant Number P20 RR-016464 from the INBRE Program of the National Center for Research Resources in all publications and presentations. © Nevada INBRE 2006.
