The Center for Research Design and Analysis Statistical Consulting Service Unit (SCSU), is a resource for statistical assistance open to UCCSN students, faculty and community agencies. The Unit is staffed by a part-time coordinator, graduate students, as well as faculty consultants from various campus departments and colleges. The mission of the Statistical Consulting Service Unit (SCSU) is to enhance the quality of research through the provision of design and statistical assistance in hypothesis formulation, modeling, data management, as well as analyses and advice.

Consultants may provide help with statistical software programming questions. Through collaboration, the goal is to enhance the use and understanding of statistical methodologies and software packages in support of research. In addition, the center provides for continued education and training of young statisticians.

Consultants have experience with the R-Statistical System, SYSTAT, S-Plus, SAS, SPSS, STATA, MATLAB and MINITAB statistical analysis systems, or will work with clients using whatever statistical package is most convenient for them.
