Kendee Franklin
Marketing and Recruiting Director

My name is Kendee Franklin and I am responsible for the marketing and recruiting for the Intensive English Language Center at the University of Nevada, Reno.

I am fortunate in my job because I am able to travel the world, meet prospective students and citizens of numerous countries, and at the same time learn about other countries and cultures. These experiences are invaluable to me not only in my career, but also personally.

I grew up in Reno, Nevada, and have a strong affection for the university and the Reno-Tahoe area. I am always excited to share information about the university and the surrounding area with individuals interested in studying with us. I have explored and lived in other states in the west, but found myself returning to the beauty, friendliness, and opportunities that the Reno area offers.

I personally take advantage of the wonderful outdoor activities available here. In the last few years I have been working on my mountain climbing skills and have conquered some of the highest peaks in the west. Year round I am able to enjoy hiking, biking, jogging, skiing, snowshoeing and Lake Tahoe.

I am proud to work with students from over 70 countries and I remain committed to international education. Now more than ever I am convinced that international education is the key to a more peaceful world.
