Peter Sexton

My name is Peter Sexton and I have been an Assistant Professor for the Intensive English Language Center at the University of Nevada, Reno for the last fifteen years.

I grew up and lived in several large American cities: Cleveland, New York City and Los Angeles. I also lived in three cities in Europe for seven years. I greatly appreciate the small city atmosphere of Reno and its proximity to great outdoor activities. This is a great place to live and study.

A great deal of satisfaction is derived from teaching my students, not just the skills of the English language, but also in teaching them the strategies to become independent language learners, thus to become successful at the academic level in American universities. One particular emphasis of mine is Business English in which I prepare my students for both undergraduate and graduate MBA programs.
