Sheri Hogue
Administrative Aide

Hello I am Sheri Hogue and I just joined the Intensive English Language Center (IELC) staff in June 2009. However, I have worked with IELC students for over 9 years and have very much enjoyed interacting with them. My position as Administrative Aide is to schedule events for the students and provide office support.

I was born in San Francisco, California and I grew up in San Jose, California.  I then moved to Montana and moved to Nevada in 1992. I very much love Nevada in particular the Reno/Tahoe area.  I really enjoy working at the University of Nevada, Reno. The Reno/Tahoe area has so much to offer both indoors and outdoors. Lake Tahoe is only 45 minutes away from Reno and Virginia City is only about 30 minutes away. We are also 30-40 minutes away from Truckee, California, where you can see the Ski Resorts from here.

I enjoy camping, fishing, gold panning, but mostly I enjoy seeing the back roads of Nevada and California on the back of our Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle. I have been all over the United States from one coast to the other and North and South too.  I have traveled to Paris France, Butzbach Germany, Copenhagen Denmark, Sweden, Greenland and Iceland.

I enjoy my job here at IELC, and I am looking forward to meeting you when you come to the University of Nevada, Reno.
