Keep This in Mind:
1. If faculty want to select or change a voluntary unpaid leave option for FY 2010 (July 1, 2009 ~June 30, 2010)---they MUST do so before March 31, 2010. Payroll will not accept changes for FY 10 after this date. The employee needs to complete a new addendum, have it signed by their appointing authority, and send it to Human Resources. HR will work with Payroll to process the change.
2. Effective 4/1/2010, the addendum to the Terms of Employment will no longer list options 1 and 2. New administrative faculty will still be required to complete an unpaid leave addendum, but only the language regarding the default option for FY 2011 (July 1, 2009 ~ June 30, 2011) will appear.
3. Tenured faculty are subject to the mandatory workload increase program effective next year or FY 2011. The Provost Office is managing this program.
Employee Types that are exempt from the Unpaid Leave Program are: Student employees, graduate assistants, letter of appointments, and post doctoral scholars.
