Sierra Hall Director

LJLJ Johnson

Resident Director for Sierra Hall

My name is Lynwood Johnson III, but everybody calls me "LJ" (or "L'Darius", or "L'Donte", or "Old Man Time"). I'm a proud native Nevadan, born and raised in Las Vegas. I moved to Reno in fall of 2001 to start college at the University of Nevada and have been here ever since. I obtained a BS in civil engineering in 2006, and now I'm changing gears to pursue a Master's degree in educational leadership with emphasis in higher education administration. Along the way, I've been greatly involved with the campus community including: four years as an RA, five years of RHA/Hall Council, multiple years as a Student Ambassador and orientation leader, and founding father of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity chapter here at Nevada. When not busy with work, school and activities, I like to spend time "roadgeeking" (exploring the destinations, construction and history of streets/highways and related traffic issues), watching TV (especially game shows and construction programs), bowling, or otherwise just having fun. I'm looking forward to my third year as a hall director with Res Life, and I am excited to get to know all the wonderful residents of Sierra Hall-my staff and I are looking forward to making Sierra a fun and exciting place to live this year!
