Hello! My name is Lauren Slemenda, and I am excited to be starting my first year at the University of Nevada, Reno as the Residence Director for Argenta Hall. I recently received my Master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Central Missouri, and before that, I was a student at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH (Go Bucks!). When I'm not working, I enjoy watching and playing sports, baking, and prepping for the zombie apocalypse.
My name is Lynwood Johnson III, but everybody calls me "LJ" (or "L'Darius", or "La'Donte", or "Old Man Time"). I'm a proud native Nevadan, born and raised in Las Vegas. I moved to Reno in fall of 2001 to start college at the University of Nevada and have been here ever since. I obtained a BS in civil engineering in 2006 and have since changed gears and am now pursuing a MA in educational leadership with emphasis in higher education administration. Along the way, I've been greatly involved with the campus community including: four years as an RA, five years of RHA/Hall Council, multiple years as a Student Ambassador and orientation leader, and founding father of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity chapter here at Nevada. When not busy with work, school and activities, I like to spend time "roadgeeking" (exploring the destinations, construction and history of streets/highways and related traffic issues), watching TV (especially game shows and construction programs), bowling, or otherwise just having fun. I'm looking forward to my fourth year as a hall director in Res Life, and I am excited to get to know all the wonderful residents of Argenta Hall-we're going to have a great time this year!
HEEELLLLOOOO!!! My name is Stephanie but you can call me Steph, SJ or any other random nicknames. I was born in Fort Carson, Colorado but have had the opportunity to live in New Mexico, Germany, Virginia, Maine, New York and Idaho until landing in Washington where I graduated from High School in Tacoma, WA. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Washington State University (GO COUGS!) in May 2012 and look forward to receiving my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership here at University of Nevada, Reno in May 2014. In my spare time I enjoy cooking/baking, watching tv and movies, reading , and working out. I am very excited for my second year at UNR and cannot wait for my adventures in Argenta Hall (with my office buddy LJ). I think I am looking forward to many things for this upcoming year: trying out new restaurants, attending more athletic games, finishing my graduate degree, and building upon the amazing memories I already have from here! Please feel free to stop by the office that LJ and I share next to the front desk if you need anything, want to talk, just say hi or grab some candy. GO PACK!!!
