Family Housing

Please be Advised:

We are currently working with a contractor towards upgrading our Graduate and Family Housing facility.  There is still not a final decision to move forward with the project and we do not anticipate that decision until March.  However, it is clear that IF we reach an agreement with the developer to move forward, the latest date to vacate University Village would be May 2013.

General Information

The University Village consists of 40 apartments, located behind Lombardi Recreation Building, at 1775 Evans Avenue. Each unit is a one-bedroom apartment, unfurnished except stove and refrigerator. A deposit for cleaning, damage and keys is required along with the first and last month's rent. There are no outlets for washers and/or dryers in the individual apartments; however, laundry facilities are located in the complex.

Application Process

If you are interested in living at the University Village apartments, you must complete an application. Your name will then be placed on a waiting list by the date and time your application is received in the Residential Life, Housing and Food Service Office. To be eligible to reside at the University Village apartments at least one member of the household must be a full-time student as defined in the University catalog. A maximum of three (two married adults and one dependent child or one adult and two dependent children) may live in the assigned apartment. A married couple or single parent can live in the University Village apartments for a maximum of four (4) years.

When your name appears at the top of the waiting list and an apartment is available, you will be notified.

Please Note: It is your responsibility to notify us of any change of address or telephone number, so that we can contact you when needed.

If your interest form is not returned to us when requested, your name will be removed from the waiting list.

If you have further questions, you should contact Residential Life, Housing and Food Service at (775) 784-1113 or send email to housing@unr.edu.
