School of Social Work

The School of Social Work is dedicated to educating students for competent, responsive and ethical social work practice. Our teaching, research and outreach seek to promote positive change and social justice for diverse communities, families and individuals. The School of Social Work’s baccalaureate program offers course work and field studies that prepare individuals committed to the elimination of poverty, oppression and injustice for entry-level generalist practice. The baccalaureate program also prepares individuals for entry into graduate-level education. The master’s level program prepares individuals for advanced generalist social work practice. Both the baccalaureate and master’s programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
