Where should I live?

Students walking along the river

First of all, you would have to decide which of these options you would like better. Most of the Graduate Students prefer to live off-campus, but here we present both as options. To get a better idea, you can take a look at the Reno city map.

On Campus Housing

Ponderosa Village, a purpose built graduate student apartment community, is currently under construction and scheduled to open in time for Fall 2014.  The new homes will contain fully equipped, full size, energy efficient appliances: dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, and side by side washer/dryer. Some utilities are included in the monthly rent, including Water, Sewer, Trash, High-Speed Wired and Wireless Internet.  The community offers 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with the option to lease the entire apartment or just a bedroom with roommate matching.  Spaces will go quickly, for more information or to sign up now, please visit our website  or contact the Residential Life, Housing and Food Service office at 775-784-1113.

Off Campus Housing

Reno, like any other big city, has some neighborhoods that are a better fit for students than others. Everything depends on how close to campus you would like to live.
