Spring Awards

Completed application packets, including all supporting documentation, should be delivered to the GSA Offices, on the third floor of the Joe Crowley Student Union by 5:00pm on Monday, March 10, 2014. Late applications will not be considered. Self-nominations are encouraged for all awards, except the Vada Trimble Outstanding Mentor award. Please note that the GSA Awards Program is a highly competitive process, not all applicants will receive awards. Questions may be directed to our email address.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are unable to download application materials directly, right-click on the link and save the pdf file to your computer before opening.Applications must be submitted to the GSA Office by 5:00pm on Monday, March 10th, 2014 in hard copy. Emails or electronic submissions will not be accepted.

Important Information: The GSA Awards Program is a highly competitive process. Applications are judged by University faculty members and administrators. The decisions of the judges are final. Applicants will be notified whether they have won an award by Friday, April 11, 2014. Except for Poster and Presentation which will be announce by April 16th 2014. All applicants are invited to attend the GSA Awards Ceremony on April 17th 2014. Winners are expected to attend.

Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarship Ten $650 scholarships are available to full-time master's or doctoral students

Outstanding International Graduate Student Scholarship Twelve to 15 $1000 scholarships are available to full-time master's or doctoral students

Presentation, Poster, Paper, Competition Scholarly and professional presentation prizes in amounts of $650, $500 and $300 are available

Research Grant Program Grants up to $2,500 are available for research and scholarly projects

Outstanding Graduating Graduate Student Award One $1000 award and plaque is available to student with distinguished academic and leadership record

Outstanding Graduate Student Researcher Award Students with a distinguished record in research or creative activities are qualified to receive awards in the amount of $650

Vada Trimble Outstanding Mentor Award Honor an individual who has supported your studies with $500 and a plaque

Outstanding Graduate Artist One $500 scholarship is available for student achievement in Fine Art

Outstanding Creative Writer One $500 scholarship for exceptional writing

Milton Glick Memorial Scholarship First generation master's or doctoral students who are the first in their family to pursue graduate education are eligible

Outstanding Graduate Club One $250 award and plaque is open to any recognized GSA club
