Web Site Viewing and Printing Tips

This site is designed to look best with a screen resolution of 1024x768. You can view it in 800x600 with no problem except that you may find that scrolling is more common.

You can change your screen resolution by following these quick steps:

  1. Close or minimize all the programs that are open so that you only see your desktop image on the monitor
  2. With your mouse in hand, right click and a window pops up that says "Display Properties"
  3. Click on the tab that says "Settings"
  4. Where it says "Screen Resolution" adjust the numbers and then click "Apply"...this will show you how it looks.
  5. If you find a setting you prefer, click "OK".

When printing the pages in this site, you may find that the right side of the page gets "clipped off"...you lose some text. This is relatively easy to solve. Follow these steps (using Internet Explorer...Netscape has similar options).

  1. With your browser window open, find the "File menu" and click on it
  2. To see how the page will print, click on the option called "Print Preview"...this will show you how the page will print. If it shows clipping of text, get out of this option by clicking on the "Close" button, then
  3. Click on "File" > "Page Setup" and this will pop open a window that shows you page margins
  4. Usually page margins are .75 on both the right and left as a default, but you can change this to .25 on both right and left sides and print out the text. Important note: I recommend that you first go back to the "Print Preview" feature to make sure you see all the text... before you waste a piece of paper.
