Separate shapefiles containing point location data for springs, seeps, and wells appearing on U.S.G.S. 1:24,000 scale topographic maps were made for most watersheds in the Great Basin. The 'dbf' files from the shapefiles were combined into one shapefile and projected into Lambert Conformable Conic projection, and clipped to the boundary of the Great Basin as defined in 'gboutline.shp'. Some watersheds in southeastern Oregon and northern Nevada did not contain spring or well point data; a polygon encompassing these watersheds was produced to show this area of 'no data'; this is the accompanying shapefile 'Nowellspringdata.shp'.
