Ph.D Program
- Program starts in Fall 2007
- The deadline for applications is Feb 1, 2007
- The materials to be submitted to the UNR Graduate School are:
- Completed graduate admission application form (with fees) – this can also be submitted electronically from http://www.ss.unr.edu/apply
- Official copy of GRE scores
- Official college transcripts (a Master's degree in Geography or a related discipline is required)
- One to two page statement of purpose and goals
- Three sealed recommendation letters

GEOG 700 – History and Nature of Geography - 3 credits
GEOG 701 – Specialized Seminars - 6 credits
GEOG 690 – Colloquium - 2 credits
GEOG 795 – Comprehensive Examination (S/U) - 2 credits
GEOG 799 – Dissertation - 24 credits
Methods courses (2) - 6 credits
Electives - 6 credits
Masters degree courses - 24 credits
Total - 73 credits
