The Gaming Managment Minor is an interdisciplinary course of study under the College of Business that is open to all students of the University. The minor in Gaming Management serves to improve the level of professionalism and training for business students seeking career opportunities in the casino and gaming industry by building real business and technical knowledge about the field of gaming management.
The Master's in Business Administration Program allows a student to choose nine elective credits that have an industry or functional specialization. The majority of gaming management courses are offered at 400/600 level thereby allowing the MBA student to pursue a specialization in gaming management.
The Executive Development Program, which will be held October 8-16, 2012 at Lake Tahoe, will help gaming executives improve their management skills, attract new customers and build better bridges with the communities where their businesses are located.
The Institute in cooperation with the Employee Registration Unit (ERU) of the Enforcement Division of the Gaming Control Board provides gaming industry human resources professionals with training in regulatory compliance in the hiring process of new employees. The Gaming Employee Registration Training is a review of the complete employee registration process and addresses changes in Nevada's gaming statutes and regulations.
Extended Studies offers a wide array of non-credit gaming management training courses, including a weeklong program, seminars and short courses and programs that can be customized toward your own unique and individual needs.
