At the UNLV Libraries is
the finest collection of gaming research that exists. Dave
Schwartz, Gaming Studies Coordinator, heads this collection
and he has put together a most informative website for those
researching the topic.

The Division of Gaming
Enforcement (DGE) is the investigative and enforcement agency, which together with the
Casino Control Commission (CCC), maintains the integrity of the casino industry. The DGE
is part of the Department of Law and Public Safety. It is led by a Director who is
appointed by the Governor. The mission of the DGE includes investigating casino license
applicants, insuring integrity, monitoring casino operations and scrutinizing gaming
equipment.

The Australian Institute for Gambling Research (AIGR) is an independent
research centre located at the University of Western Sydney (UWS). It is the only
independent national centre of expertise in gambling studies in Australia, with an
Advisory Board of leading academics and community representatives.
- European Association for the
Study of Gambling
The European Association for
the Study of Gambling (EASG) is organizing the Central and Eastern European Conference on
Gambling Studies and Policy Issues, September 21-23, 2000 in Warsaw, Poland.

Indian Gaming Association
The National Indian
Gaming Association is an organization of over 150 sovereign Indian Nations as well as
other non-voting associate members interested in the preservation of sovereignty and

Council on Problem Gambling, Inc. disseminates information about problem and pathological

Center for Responsible Gaming funds scientific research on problem and underage

The International Association
of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) is an organization of gaming regulators from around the world

The Nevada Council on Problem
Gambling was incorporated as a volunteer non-profit agency in September of 1984 and is one
of 34 state affiliates of the National Council on Problem Gambling. The Council is neutral
on the issue of legalized gambling, focusing its efforts solely on the issue of problem
gambling as it affects our citizens, businesses and communities in the state of Nevada.
