Privacy Policy for Students
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) permit consent to disclose personally identifiable information from a student’s education records, as follows:
- The student shall provide a signed and dated written consent before the University discloses personally identifiable information from the student’s financial aid records.
- The written consent must:
- Specify the records that may be disclosed
- Identify the party to whom the disclosure may be made
Our office has designed a Student Authorization to Release Information form to permit staff to discuss the student’s financial aid and scholarships, disbursements of aid and student account information, which is available thru MyNEVADA.
When the form is mailed to the office, it must be an original document, signed in the presence on a notary. Faxes or copies will not be accepted. Please allow a minimum of 7 business days for the receipt and posting of the authorization before calling for information.
