The Western Undergraduate Exchange is an undergraduate tuition program which allows students to study at the University of Nevada at a special reduced rate. WUE students are not subject to out-of-state tuition charges. WUE is available only to new first-time freshman to the university.

Who is eligible?
High school students with a 3.0 academic grade point average (weighted) in the following core courses and core must be complete:
The student must also have a minimum 22 ACT composite or 1,100 SAT score combined critical reading and math.
In order to be considered for WUE status, students must submit a completed application to the University by February 1 for fall. The program is restricted to first-time freshmen entering in the fall term and is limited to 4 years. Student must stay in good academic standing and have continuous enrollment to maintain WUE.
WUE students must live on campus in University housing for the first year.
Students cannot begin the process of attempting to establish Nevada residency for tuition purposes while participating in and receiving the benefits of the WUE tuition program.
How Do I Apply?
Simply mark the WUE box when applying for admission to the University of Nevada. Applications must be submitted by February 1st for Fall semester. Residency restrictions apply.
As of June 17, 2011 we are no longer accepting students into the Good Neighbor program. The program was eliminated on June 17 by Regent action. Anyone admitted prior to that date will be grandfathered in. Anyone not admitted as of the 17th may not be given such status.
Students who are currently enrolled as GOOD NEIGHBOR must remain continuously enrolled in order to retain the reduced tuition benefit.
