Brief Bio: Stephani Foust is the Admissions and Recruitment Coordinator for the Office for Prospective Students. Her position includes a variety of responsibilities including the planning, implementation and marketing of freshman advising events and recruitment events held in the states of Nevada and California. She is responsible for the recruitment of incoming freshman to the University, including National Merit Finalists. The execution of this requires her to attend events for and speak to prospective students and parents throughout Washoe County, Northern California and various other states about the benefits of obtaining a higher education and the opportunities available at Nevada. She assists students and their parents with all aspects of the college admissions process. In addition, she serves as the advisor to one of the largest student groups on campus-the Student Orientation Staff. This role entails helping students with their psychological development as they transition through college.
Stephani obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on English in 2001 and graduated with her Masters in Counseling and Educational Psychology with an emphasis in College Student Development in 2008; all from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Active in the community, Stephani serves as the President of both the Reno Tahoe Young Professionals Network and the University of Nevada Young Alumni Chapter. She is responsible for overseeing the activity and the operations of both boards whose missions are to engage, attract and retain young professionals in the Reno Tahoe area. She also serves as liaison on behalf of young professionals in the community to various organizations.
Stephani’s term on the Faculty Senate began in May, 2008. She is currently the Chair for the Administrative Faculty Personnel Policy and Procedures Committee and serves as a member of Target 500 Committee.
