Science Olympiad

Students compete in the 2015 Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is an annual competition for middle and high school students that gets students involved in science, technology, engineering and math. Students compete in 23 team events which require teamwork, problem-solving skills and scientific knowledge.

On Saturday, March 5th 2016, the University of Nevada Reno will host the Nevada State Science Olympiad in collaboration with Northern Nevada MESA, the College of Engineering, the College of Science and the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources.

We are currently recruiting event supervisors who are experts in the field of focus for each event (for example, the ideal event supervisor for the anatomy & physiology event might have a background in health and have access to models and/or specimens for use at the tournament.)
