Mechanical Engineering Discipline Overview:

Mechanical Engineering concerns itself primarily with the design, construction, and use of a wide variety of equipment ranging from manufacturing machinery and power generation equipment to consumer goods. Mechanical Engineers can be found in almost every part of industry, ranging from the appliance and automotive industries to aeronautical and defense. The discipline is involved in areas such as designing and building products; transportation and delivery systems; cryogenic techniques for super-conductivity; heating, ventilation or refrigeration, and automation and robotics.
