State-of-the-art microscopy for Nevada's research community

Use our facilities

Facility services are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are available for use for a fee by students, faculty, staff and the regional community for research projects and instruction.

Operational funds for the EMMF come from users fees and contributions from research grants. Our high-tech equipment is kept in excellent condition for your use.

The Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis Facility (EMMF) at the University of Nevada, Reno provides services and research opportunities to students, faculty and the community.

Using state-of-the-art imaging equipment, we offer research and teaching services in transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy.

Our mission is to the meet the needs of the University, the state of Nevada and the industrial community in all areas of microanalysis.
