Jean Perry, Ph.D.

Dr. Perry has more than 40 years of experience as an academic administrator in higher education.  Most recently she was the Special Assistant to the President for Athletics Academics and Compliance at the University of Nevada.  Prior to that Dr. Perry was the Founding Dean of the College of Human and Community Sciences, a position she held for 15 years.  She was the Chair of the Department of Physical Education and Athletics at San Francisco State University.  She began her administrative career at the University of Illinois where she was Associate Dean of the College of Applied Life Studies.

Dr. Perry is a former President of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (now SHAPE America).  She is also a former President of the National Association of Girls and Women in Sport.

Dr. Perry has published more than 25 peer-reviewed research and professional articles.  She is frequently invited to be a speaker on a number of issues and has given both research and professional presentations across the country and internationally.
