Special Examinations

We strongly recommend that all test takers read the entire website to make the process clear and smooth.

Special Exam Schedule:

Test dates for the following month will be posted below during the last week of this month. Our office will not know next months dates until they post on the website.

* No early arrivals allowed for the Las Vegas testing.

To Register

To register for the Special Administration Exams, please send an e-mail to nvlaw@unr.edu with the information listed as follows (if the date is not listed above please continue to monitor the website for a date):

• Full Name
• Mailing Address (with City & Zip)
• Phone Number
• Teacher License ID (regardless if expired)
• Date of Birth
• The exams you want to register for
• The testing location (Reno/ LV)
• The testing date: Registrations sent without a chosen date will be deleted with no response
• Which District you want notified

After sending the above information for registration you will receive a Confirmation e-mail no later than 24 hours before each exam. The email will contain a MapQuest direction sheet to testing locations as well as additional information.

If you do not have a teacher license number yet, we need your date of birth instead! Find your license number here. We DO accept substitute and expired numbers!

It is strongly advised that you check this site prior to the exam dates for any unavoidable changes.

Cost*

• 1 exam - $100
• 2 exams - $115
• 3 exams - $130

* Retake exams are full price.

Payable by cashier's check or money order ONLY and made out to: BOARD OF REGENTS - to be collected at the time of testing.

Confirmation Email

If you have not received an e-mail post registration 24 hours prior to the test date, please check your spam box. If a confirmation email is not there simply send an e-mail to Amaia at nvlaw@unr.edu requesting confirmation. If you have sent your registration information prior to closing test date and have not received registration confirmation, consider yourself registered, unless otherwise indicated on this website, by e-mail, or phone. Please, do NOT PANIC :-) Mapquest direction sheets to testing locations and additional information will be contained in the confirmation email.

Request a Copy of Your Test Results

If you request a copy of your test results, a $10 research fee payment is required. Payment must be in the form of a money order or cashiers check made payable to the 'Board of Regents'.
