We strongly recommend that all test takers read the entire website to make the process clear and smooth.
If you are registering for an exam and are uncertain of how many you may need, please contact the Department of Education, Reno (775) 687-9115 & Las Vegas: (702) 486-6458, to find out which exams you must take. You may also obtain provision information from the Teacher Licensure website. Note: The Department of Education answers their phones between the hours of 1-4 p.m.
You will receive a Confirmation e-mail/ Admission Ticket from nvlaw@unr.edu by 5pm on the Thursday before your scheduled exam date. If you have not received your admissions ticket on the Friday before test date please check your junk mail for misplacement. Please be patient. Please PRINT the e-mail and bring it to your exam, along with you license number.

Exceptions may be made to the fee schedule based on appropriate documentation from a religious leader or superior officer.

Regular Fee: Results are postmarked & reported to Department of Education, as well as School Districts/Colleges if requested on scantron, within six weeks.
Expedited Fee: Results are post marked & reported to Department of Education, as well as School Districts/Colleges if requested on scantron, within 5 business days.
Expedited payments (only) include the option of sending an email to nvlaw@unr.edu on the Thursday after testing. We will respond to your email with an unofficial notification of results - this is ONLY available to those testers who have paid for expedited scoring.
If you are unable to attend a General Exam that you have registered and paid for, it is not necessary to notify us, your funds will still be held for 365 days.
When you are ready to transfer unused funds please notify us, via email at nvlaw@unr.edu of the original purchase date and amount and the testing date you have chosen. For the General Exam this would be approximately 5 weeks prior to the testing date and for the Special Administration this information would be given when you send the registration email.

There will be NO REFUNDS – Unused funding will be held for 365 days from the original test date for the use toward another exam. (You must contact Amaia Oiz at nvlaw@unr.edu to transfer your unused funds to a different date).
