General Exam Information
General Exams are offered twice a year in Las Vegas and Reno and once a year in Elko. The only difference between a General Exam and the Monthly Exam is the cost. The next General Exam in Las Vegas and Reno is tentatively scheduled for November 5, 2016.

Please take the time to read the FAQ page for answers to your questions. We strongly recommend that all test takers read through the entire website before emailing.
Please contact the Department of Education, Reno (775) 687-9115 & Las Vegas: (702) 486-6458, to find out which exams you must take. You may also obtain provision information from the Teacher Licensure website. It is your responsibility to take the tests you need in order to remove the proper provisions from your license.

Exceptions may be made to the fee schedule based on appropriate documentation from a religious leader.

Results are reported to Department of Education, as well as School Districts/Colleges if requested on the scantron, within three weeks after the exam date.
- 1 Exam = $30
- 2 Exams = $45
- 3 Exams = $60
There is a $15 fee if you mark in the test booklet.
