III. Hallucinogens
A. Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD)
1. Never positively linked to birth defects or chromosomal damage
2. Associated with an increased rate of spontaneous abortion
B. Phencyclidine (PCP)
1. PCP users are very often polydrug abusers
2. Effects on the neonate
a. Increased state lability
b. Decreased consolability
c. PCP withdrawal syndrome
d. Jitteriness
e. Poor visual coordination
f. Abnormal muscle tension
