  • All internship applicants must submit Portfolio I.  There are no exemptions. Check with your department for information about Portffolio I and due dates.

  • You may receive a phone call or email while we verify your coursework completion and readiness to intern. Please respond promptly.

    (if your name is not linked, DO NOT call or email.  Placements will be posted as we receive them. When we receive inquiries regarding placements, it takes away from the time that we are using to make the placement.  You will be contacted if there are any questions. This is the perfect time to build your patience.)

Wanting to Intern in Washoe County School District?
  • Only those students who are on the active WCSD substitute list may intern in WCSD. If you are on inactive status, you must become an active substitute.  If you have not been a substitute before, then complete the online application.
  • WCSD does need substitutes!  It's the director's informal observation that interns with extensive substitute experience appear more confident in their classroom management and delivery of instruction.
